This can include, for example, future or ongoing healthcare costs, expenses for assistive devices, or costs for adapting a home for accessibility.
The rule is found in section 1 of the Liability and Compensation Act.
Regarding extended education duration:
If your education is extended because you have been the victim of a criminal offense, you can apply for compensation.
The compensation is typically set as a standardized amount, which is currently 35,000 DKK per half year of lost schooling and 70,000 DKK for a full lost school year.
It is important to note that compensation for extended education duration requires that you have completed the education.
